33With the last of the Light of Aether collected, Dark Aether begins to collapse. Racing to a portal, Samus finds herself trapped by a Phazon wall. Sensing someone behind her, Samus turns to confront Dark Samus. Dangerously mutated to critical levels, Dark Samus stands poised, facing her aggressor. Both individuals size each other, raising their Arm Cannons in unison...
Boss: Dark Samus
*I don't think Dark Samus has appreciated her defeats as she's much more violent and serious now. With all the Phazon she's taken in, Dark Samus rises off the ground and shoots a powerful blast of Phazon, condensed into a large, straight beam. Two blasts of this attack occur before she turns invisible. Switch to your Echo Visor to take her on. At about a two-thirds of her health, Dark Samus switches to a new attack; once again, she rises from the ground, except now, she forms a Phazon barrier around her, launching missiles from the shell. When she dispels Phazon in the form of a semi-tracking attack, that's your cue to have your Charge Beam ready; take in the Phazon with your attack and return it to your opponent.
Once her health drains, Dark Samus collapses to the ground. Slowly breaking apart, she gets on her feet and, perhaps cursing her opponent, reaches out to Samus before fading into Phazon particles.
With time winding down and no escape possible, Warrior Ing descend onto the stage, intent on stopping Samus. Suddenly, a wall of Phazon breaks apart, revealing a new portal. Racing towards it, will Samus make it in time?
