8The planet of Tallon IV possesses some wondrous foliage with some strange blue pulsating plants and fungi. Samus, however, is determined to find her nemesis, who fled the explosion of the Orpheon and has escaped somewhere in the planet. But first, Samus heads to the cliffs, where ancient ruins of her heritage may have some gifts for her.
Mini-Boss: Hive Mecha
*A drone with the ability to direct a hive of Ram War Wasps as defense, the Hive Mecha simply relies on the aforementioned Wasps to defend itself. Impenetrable unless it needs to "call" for reinforcements, the Ram War Wasps and the elevated toxic waters make it difficult for Samus to keep her bearings straight, something to Hive Mecha counts on. As the battle progresses and the Hive Mecha takes damage, more Ram War Wasps intercede, meaning care must be taken if you want that Missile Launcher.
Mini-Boss: Plated Beetle
*You'll see more eventually, but as the first encounter, it pays to know how to strafe, wait for the moment it strikes, and then unleash a barrage of shots and missiles to its abdomen.
