The battle becomes easy once you learn how to properly dodge each of his attacks. Don't forget that you can take free shots during Meryl's second round of mind control, and even when she attempts to blow her brains out (Which she CAN do, so be fast!), though you have to be pretty methodical to get it there.
If you run low on ammo, uses punches and kicks.
