Donald Gennaro has just told John Hammond that his grandchildren are in Jurassic Park with Dr. Grant. Despite the distressing news, Hammond is rather calm about the situation and is very confident that they will find them alive. While conversing on how to get Jurassic Park's back, Arnold and Dr. Wu discover how Dennis disabled Jurassic Park's security, but strangely they find that he entered the name of an object call named "whte rbt.obj" in the command log.

Donald Gennaro and Robert Muldoon entered the control room just as Arnold discovered a command to restore the system thus turning the power back on. He enters the command and the power returns successfully, but the motion sensors need a few minutes to become active again. Though the power has returned, some of the electric fencing, including the one in Sauropod Maintenance Building 04 is disabled and five of the dinosaurs need to be returned to their proper paddocks.

Robert Muldoon and many of Jurassic Park’s staff proceed to fix any problems that have arisen from the outage. In the control room, Gennaro asks Arnold why he and InGen believes Dr. Malcom is wrong about Jurassic Park failing and the Malcolm Effect.

It was 5:00 AM in the morning, they were in a sauropod maintenance BLDG (04). Grant and Lex had an encounter with both infant and adult Triceratops. Unable to get the phones working, Arnold is force to shut down the system and restart the them again, meanwhile, Grant and the kids had to run for their dear life from the stampeding Hadrosaurs that are fleeing from the Tyrannosaur.
Fun Fact: These three parts of the novel were adapted in the film, where Grant, Lex and Tim had an encounter with a Brachiosaurus, Arnold shutting down the system and restart them and Grant, Lex and Tim had to run away from a herd of Gallimimus and withins the Tyrannosaur hunt and kill its prey.

This is one of the most intense part of Michael Crichton's Novel: Grant had a close encounter with one of the Maiasaurs with its infant, and was surprised that the animal didn’t see him at all if he stood very still, just like his encounter with the Tyrannosaur from the previous night. Grant, Lex and Tim headed to a nearby dock that goes from the Aviary to the Visitor Center. But, they have to move quietly if they don't awake the sleeping Tyrannosaur and become it's next meal.

Interesting Fact: The river raft scene was originally suppose to be filmed, but the script writer, David Koepp cut it out of the film because of how expensive the scene would cost. Luckily, it would make its way to Universal Studios river ride titled: “Jurassic Park The Ride”. Which was later renamed, “Jurassic World The Ride”, and now officially adapted to the new Jurassic Park movie, Jurassic World Rebirth.
