Michael Jackson - MOONWALKER SEGA MEGADRIVE / GENESIS Review
The game of the movie, of the star, of the man, of the children whose hearts he so dearly touched. Michael Jackson was probably the biggest superstar on this planet when Moonwalker hit cinemas and it was inevitable that a game of it should be made. Here, you play Michael, and have the task of tracking down and locating several children hiding in doorways. But who are they really hiding from and why?
I reviewed this game twice back in around 2007-09 but both reviews are now lost. So here's my modern take on the game. There are some jokes about Michael and the alleged behaviour that dogged him throughout his life and post life. This may offend some folks, however, like I say in the review, the guy was extremely talented and never really got to experience a proper childhood or adulthood. We don't know the truth, and can only speculate. But we can all agree he did turn into an odd-ball by the end of his life.
As to the game, there were many versions for the home computers, some more beat 'em up focused. For me, it's repetitive as hell, but the animations are decent and the music pretty good.
Enjoy or detest, whatever comes natural to you.
