"Michael Jackson's Moonwalker" for the Sega Genesis is a video game released in 1990, based on the iconic pop star Michael Jackson. The game is a mix of action, platforming, and music elements, featuring Michael Jackson as the main character who must rescue kidnapped children from the evil Mr. Big.

Players control Michael Jackson through various levels inspired by his music videos and films. His basic attack includes a kick which emits a fairy dust, and the more health the more range the fairy dust has. He also has special moves, like a spin that damages enemies on contact. Michael can also throw his hat, which is a powerful attack capable of defeating most enemies instantly. Then there's the fully-charged magic dance which summons all on-screen enemies to dance along with Michael. The special moves, however, consumes health and takes time to activate.

The game's levels are filled with obstacles and enemies that players must navigate through to advance. Each level concludes with a boss fight against Mr. Big's henchmen, leading up to the final confrontation with Mr. Big himself. There's also the ability for Michael Jackson to transform into a robot version of himself when collecting a certain power-up, allowing for enhanced abilities and attacks.

Overall, "Michael Jackson's Moonwalker" offers fleeting entertainment with its quirky dance moves and odd moments but ultimately falls short due to lazy design and repetitive gameplay. Stages soon become repetitive with the same bland ememies appearing. There's backtracking to find kidnapped children, and facing the same enemies becomes monotonous. The game's soundtrack is great through, featuring MIDI versions of Jackson's hits like "Smooth Criminal" and "Billie Jean".
