Michael Jackson's Moonwalker Pt. 1: We've Been Struck By a Smooth Criminal
WARNING: This Video is Rated R for...Rock On!
Good ol' Chris joins me once again, to play a game based on one of our mutual favorite 80s stars, and frankly one of the biggest music stars in history, Michael Jackson! Back in 1988, MJ came out with a theatrical film called "Moonwalker", which was a loose narrative of him trying to save some kidnapped children, but really it was an excuse to have a bunch of cool music videos wrapped into a "movie". Well, come 1990, Sega was looking to hit it big with their Genesis console in North America, and since they had not yet established their own popular star mascot (soon to be Sonic the Hedgehog), they instead turned to the biggest star on the planet, Michael Jackson, to feature in a game loosely based on the movie.
Now while many people are familiar with that early Sega Genesis hit, they are typically less familiar with the completely separate and different arcade game, also by Sega, of the same name. And that is what Chris and I are going to tackle, sparkling and step-kicking and yes, MOONWALKING our way to beating down Mr. Big, and saving those darn kids!
