Round 14 of the 1990 FIM 500 cc World Road Racing Championships took place at the Hungaroring near Budapest. The famous 'fast four' of Eddie Lawson (Yamaha), Wayne Gardner (Honda), Kevin Schwantz (Suzuki) and Wayne Rainey (Yamaha) were threatened by a young Australian called Mick Doohan (Rothmans Honda).
Riding faster and faster, the determined Aussie roared his way towards the big time to take his first win in the Championship series.
