A while ago I've written an article that explains how to update Office for Mac 2011 despite the two system services hindering us from doing so: http://wpguru.co.uk/2014/07/how-to-update-microsoft-office-for-mac-2011-despite-microsoft-database-daemon-and-syncservicesagent-errors/

As of Office for Mac 14.5.0, this "backdoor patch" appears no longer necessary. In this video I'm showing how I could successfully update the product without intervention.

Could it be that Microsoft have found a way to make this happen 6 years after the product's release?
