Last month I showed you all a problem I had with the kickstand on my Microsoft Surface Pro 4. The kickstand was wobbly because of a hinge that came out of place.

I explained my hesitation at returning the laptop in the video above. I was hoping to purchase a replacement kickstand and do the repair myself but I was unable to find anywhere that sold the part.

I reluctantly sent it back to Microsoft. The whole experience was painless. I sent it back free of charge using UPS and a mint condition replacement was returned in less than a week.

I sometimes complain about large companies offering terrible customer service so I have to give credit where credit is due. I was really impressed with how good the Microsoft warranty is. Shame it's only for a year.
