In this video, I will show you how to use Microsoft Edge as a photo viewer on your Windows 11 device. Microsoft Edge is not only a strong and efficient web browser, but also a versatile tool that can handle different types of media. With the latest update, you can now turn Edge into Edge Photo, a simple and convenient app that lets you view your photos in a new tab or a pop-out window.
To use Edge Photo, you need to have Microsoft Edge Canary version 116.0.1934.0 or later installed on your device. You can download it from the official website or use the link in the description below. Once you have it, you can simply drag and drop any photo from your device into Edge and it will automatically transform into Edge Photo. You will see a preview pane on the right side of the screen that shows all the photos in the same folder as the one you dropped. You can click on any photo to view it in full screen or use the arrow keys to navigate through them. You can also right-click on any photo to copy, save, or edit it in Edge.
If you want to view your photos in a separate window, you can click on the icon at the bottom-right corner of the screen. This will pop out Edge Photo and allow you to resize and move it around as you wish. You can also switch back to Edge by clicking on the icon again or closing the pop-out window.
Edge Photo is a handy feature that saves you time and hassle when you want to quickly view your photos without opening another app. It is still in its initial phases, so it may change and improve in the future. If you have any feedback or suggestions for Edge Photo, you can share them with Microsoft using the feedback button in Edge.
