Mighty Doom | Pocket sized ripping and tearing!! iOS
With the legacy that Doom has every game you put out under that name needs to be fun, authentic and not a joyless cash grab. Well, after playing Mighty Doom for around an hour I can honestly say I enjoyed it, a lot. The gameplay is fun, (after you get passed the basic tutorial) maintains its brutality that we are used to in Doom although it is slightly stepped down. The characters and graphics in general are quite cute, fun and clear. Its funny to see the demons look this way as it instantly removes any scary factor they may have had. Glory kills are fun and give big bonuses like Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal. The boss battles are fun and are filled with all our beloved Doom demons.
The negative point are the micro transactions although they are quite hidden, and not shoving themselves into your face at every moment. It also seems you can collect more shards and coins etc quite quickly so you dont need to spend actual money in the game. I feel bad for saying that as the Devs work very hard to create games like this (and others) but it does annoy me when micro transactions take over a game - to clarify - I dont think Mighty Doom does that.
