So the biggest thing to note about this game is that you don't get special weapons in the traditional sense. Instead, you make your own. There are many different options you can customize your weapons with, and you gain more by finding items in the stages. However, everything has a cost, and you can only use as much as your CP lets you have. You can increase this by finding the CP UPs in stages, or by choosing it as your reward for beating a stage.
Anyway, I recommend going after Aviator first, as his stage has an ability that's very important for each character: the Aerial Action. It's different for each character, but important nonetheless. For Beck, it's an Air Dash, and you can customize it to dash up to 3 times in one jump. The stage itself takes a lot of cues from the Mighty No. 9 version, but with a lot less heavy winds. Instead, some of the wires that you hold on to will move you forward. Like conveyor belts do.
