So I messed up on multiple fronts during this boss fight. I forgot I had "Haste" on both Auron & Tidus and didn't bother buffing the party with either "Cheer" (boosts attack) or "Focus" (boosts magic). Ended up having to heal the boss so I could push it off the cliff instead of killing it.

For this boss fight you have multiple ways to end the fight:
- You get pushed off the cliff and get zero rewards
- You defeat the boss the old-fashioned way by depleting its health to zero.
The boss has 10000 HP (final hit has to deal 800 damage for an overkill)
- You push it off the cliff, which gives you 2 Lv.1 Key Spheres. These are pretty rare so it's worth pushing it off the cliff

The general strategy is to have it blinded and to inflict "power break" onto it.
It's weak to fire so use Lulu's black magic, Kimahri's "Fire Breath" overdrive, and/or your summons who both have fire magic.
It's always useful to have overdrives stocked up before boss fights but not necessary.
If you have access to "Haste", use it on your main damage dealers. Usually, this means Auron and Lulu. Depending on which sphere grid you chose at the beginning of the game ("Standard" or "Expert", I'm using expert) Kimahri might do similar damage to Auron and thus be a good option as well.
When the boss is on its back have Tidus use "Cheer" when Auron is on the field, or have Lulu cast "Focus". These moves stack up to 5 times and will boost Auron's attack (cheer) or Lulu's black magic (focus). This way you'll flip the boss quicker onto its back.

The unique boss mechanic here is that the Chocobo Eater will push you towards the cliff, eventually pushing you off it if you are too close to the edge. You can do the same, after dealing 1200 damage it'll fall onto its back. If you deal another 500 damage you'll shove it a bit further. It'll get back onto its feet if you end up pushing it further towards the cliff or if you fail to deal 500 damage when it's his turn again. Aeons are unable to be pushed so summon Valefor or Ifrit when he's closest to the edge, for an easy push. If the boss has low health, throw some potions or cure it with Yuna. The reward for pushing it off the cliff is worth it.

Can't access my PS4 save file so from part 15 onwards I continued on the Steam version, so some things might be different concerning character builds and equipment.
