Hello, in todays video we do another tutorial video on MILS Plating. (Modular Integrated Landscaping System) This is a method that is useful to make interlocking plates that you can place modular buildings on as well as create scenes for your Lego town or city. Usually people do not start off MILS plating their town but I am doing it from the beginning to future proof my city. I do not even have a functioning city yet, and I already have expansion plans. Thus the reason I am doing this now and not later. This tutorial video is how to transfer existing modular building or structures to a MILS plate. In this case we transfer and move the only building I have built on a standard 32 x 32 plate. The Lego Ideas Motorized Lighthouse set #21335. I show how to carefully separate the flimsy basic Lego baseplate. Then give pointers and tips on transferring the remaining bricks and parts. Then, once the remaining bits are moved over. We rejoin the Lighthouse onto the new 32 x 32 MILS plate. I show that you do have to struggle and work it back into position by doing some close paying attention to detail and use a bit of force. Also using a rubber mallet carefully helps too. Then I do a quick demonstration on how the Lighthouse on the MILS plate interlocks with the rest of the town and connects.
