Since 1.11 came out I have been playing with Observer Blocks and the Shulker Chests. Today I give you a designed for a 5*5*3 Melon and Pumpkin Farm that is stackable and fairly fast.

4x Observer Block,
4x Normal Piston,
4x Redstone Dust,
4x Melon or Pumpkin Seeds
8x Dirt (4x Normal / Grass, 4x Farmland)
1x Hoe (I highly recommend Diamond.
4x Block of Choice (Needs to pass a redstone signal)
