all credits go to Etholab's minecart dispenser idea
basically if you use the minecart dispenser for mob chutes, what happens sometimes is that the mobs try to go up the stream and get stuck there, eventually leading to your boat breaking
i found a way of fixing this problem by simply placing a water stream facing the opposite direction 2 blocks above the dispenser
I hope other people had the same problem as me and this will help them solve the problem
