Update on the current situation regarding the map:
2022 UPDATE: I am tired of answering the same questions over and over again so I will just write it here. The project is on hold currently. Is it dead? Idk. I have moved on to other stuff in my life because Minecraft doesn't interest me anymore. The reason for losing motivation isn't easy to explain, but a lot of it has to do with how map making works in Minecraft. It's very unintuitive and implementing simple things is very convoluted for no reason. In short, with all the new updates and commands and QoL changes, Minecraft still doesn't have a good system for making adventure maps. There are other personal reasons why I haven't worked on this, but I will not go into that. So what is next? I still want to make a horror experience at some point. I might revive this project or it might be a completely separate thing outside of Minecraft like a standalone game, we will see. What about the resource pack? It was made specifically with my map in mind and I never planned to release it separate. At this point the map and the resource pack don't work in the current version of Minecraft and I am not going to release a broken and unfinished mess. So unless I decide to revive this project, it will stay like this. I understand that this is very disappointing news to a lot of you, but sometimes things don't work out how we want them to. However, if you take this as an opportunity to harass me, you aren't welcome here and will be blocked. I started posting videos of my map because I wanted to share my ideas with everyone. Just because you watched my videos and got excited for my project, doesn't give you the right to harass and demand things from me. Stop being entitled, I don't owe you anything. If you have a problem with it, feel free to leave and go somewhere else. I am sure it would be more productive if you made your own project instead of complaining about mine.
2019 UPDATE: I started working on it again. I don't know how long it will take to finish it, but I just wanted to let you all know that this isn't dead (or whoever reads the description).
2018 UPDATE: I am currently not working on the map, mainly because I am not really interested in making minecraft maps. I started thinking about making that map long before there were any command blocks or any support for adventure maps. That was back in beta 1.3 or even maybe 1.7, I don't remember. I wanted to make that map because back then horror maps didn't really exist and I wanted to bring a fresh experience into minecraft since I liked horror games and minecraft was my favorite game back then. As the updates progressed they added more and more stuff to the game and at that time I was working on my texture pack, so every time they added something I wanted to implement that block into my texture pack. I realized that I didn't really have a goal in mind so I just scrapped everything and started over. My map changed form being a haunted house to a cabin then to an abandoned building and finally to a bunker or whatever it was supposed to be. The reason why I am not working on the map now is not just because I am not interested in making it, but because I never feel satisfied with it and with every update something in my map brakes somehow. Also it is not easy making it all by myself. Since I started making my map they added command blocks, structure blocks and functions. These are all great additions, but It is quite overwhelming when you don't know how to use them but want to implement them in your map. I also hate how there isn't a good editor for making maps, so making things is a real pain. Right now I don't really have the motivation to finish it. I don't play minecraft that much any more and honestly it doesn't feel like people play adventure maps like they used to. Every time I try to finish the map I always ask myself "Who am I doing this for?"
Maybe one day I will get the energy to finish it and be done with it, but I will definitely not release a product if I am not satisfied with it. I just hope minecraft doesn't die by then. This all failed because I wanted to make a perfect map and I couldn't do it and good wasn't cutting it ether.
