Armor is a category of equippable items that increase a player's stats when put into the appropriate Armor slot. Armor comes in 4 categories: Helmets, Chestplates, Leggings and Boots. Most Armor pieces come in sets, with one of each type of Armor, however there are also some pieces that are unique and do not belong to any set.
Most Armor sets grant stats, and the majority of armor sets have a Full Set Bonus, which applies when all pieces in a set are worn. Other pieces also have a Tiered Set Bonus, where the armor set improves the more pieces are worn, but doesn't necessarily require the whole set for the Tiered Set Bonus to work.
Vanilla Armor
This is the original Minecraft armor. Defense point values correspond to the number of armor points given in vanilla gameplay. These armor sets are recommended to be never used, because of there being much better alternatives.
