The Diamond Meter Mod for Minecraft lets you find diamonds easier than if you were to use just Vanilla Minecraft. It is not overpowering, so it will not be as quick as if you were to use x-ray or cheat using creative.

What the Diamond Meter Mod will do is it will light up when you get within a 9 block radius of diamonds. This is not overpowering, as you still have to go mine and find the diamonds. What will NOT occur during this, is you wasting 2 hours of your time strip mining and being bored, so you can experience minecraft for the better.

This is a Forge-based MOD so you'll need to install Forge first. I have a tutorial of that at the top of the annotations in the video. Please feel free to use that tutorial if you are unsure how to install mods with Forge.

The Diamond Meter is an object that you have to craft using 1 diamond block, 2 diamonds, a redstone torch, and 3 smooth stone. So in effect, this is not a cheap recipe as you need 11 pieces of diamond to complete the recipe so it can be crafted.
