About default 3D:
"Default 3D V4.17, designed for Minecraft version 1.8 is an add-on resource pack for the default look of Minecraft, that contains both 3D block models and 3D item models, which closely match the default ones.
If you're bored of perceiving and experiencing the dull, flatness of Minecraft, than this is most certainly the resource pack you've been looking for.
In this resource pack, every block has a certain level of depth to it when standing closeby and when standing from and look at them from a fair distance, they look perfectly normal, as if you aren't using a resource pack at all.
If you prefer to play Minecraft using the default look of Minecraft or any resource pack in which the textures have the exact layout as the default ones, than there is great news. Default 3D supports (mostly) all of those.
On top of that, default 3D simply enhances that 'default' feeling in a way that is still aesthetically loyal to the design of the game and/or resource pack.
Throughout the ocean, shells can randomly appear on the ocean floor. On the overworld, berries, twigs, or other objects you may find laying around can also spawn. These cannot be collected, but are instead an aesthetic part of the block itself.
This is possible by the use of blockstates in this resource pack.
In case an item is also a placable block, these two will mostly share the same model, else the item has a unique model. "
