In this video I demonstrate how to build a number of conceptualised rooms as floating islands. This base eliminates the number of mobs spawn since the base is surrounded with water and air and have limited space area. Moving around islands can be done either with the magical transportation of ender eye's pearl or using the more traditional way water to elevate to each island.
