Minecraft - Weird light/blocks glitch

8Minecraft Beta 1.2 filmed on the 13th of January, 2011.
I was wondering through the dark when I spotted some glowing trees. Destroying the leaves and ground didn't make the blocks disappear but I was able to walk through them.
On reloading Minecraft, the glitch was gone.
