This video aims to teach you about the Easy category of MML Speedrunning's most defining trick: Mineskip. A new method was just developed the other day and is much more consistent, faster, and overall more runner friendly than it once was.

Here are some quick tips you can reference without needing to skim the vid:

When entering the dungeon, stick to the left wall with your jet skate movement and line yourself up parallel to it after turning the corner. Wait for the Zakobon that appears to aggro onto you and then start moving back.

Next, after luring the Zako to the wall, you need to give yourself enough room to be able to hit the apex of your jump by the time you shoot the enemy twice and spawn the explosion. You might go for your shoot and jump at it and not get knocked sideways. If you jumped behind the explosion that means you're early, and if you got knocked straight back that means you're late.

Get a feel for how you can set yourself up for the trick and find a spot that works for you for beginning the climb. If you go close to the enemy, your inputs will have to be pressed in the order Shoot, Forward, Jump. If the position you want is further away, the order is Forward, Shoot, Jump.

Sometimes you can pause or re-pause too early. If you don't hear Mega Man take damage after you pause, that means you need to unpause and try pausing again. If this happened to you, congrats; you may have been frame-perfect!
