In World War 2, Japan had one of the finest aircraft carrier fleets in the world. After her defeat in World War 2, Japan was forbidden to have aircraft carriers as they were offensive weapons and thus against Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution. However thanks to the rise of an aggressive China, Japan has brought back aircraft carriers back to its present fleet in the form of the Izumo class destroyer (the official designation of the new aircraft carrier like ships).

I plan to do another in the near future as one of the new carriers is named Kaga, which was the same name for a carrier that fought in World War 2.
