Pokémon, being made by the Japanese, was original in its introduction of fossil Pokémon. Instead of doing the uncreative obvious tyrannosaurus, triceratops drivel the production team came up with pocket monsters which reflect the most bizarre organisms in the fossil record – those critters which thrived 500 million years ago. One of them, coming from the rocks of China, looks like it belongs right alongside lileep and anorith. Meet the cartoon arrow shaped fish shrimp Erjiecaris.
