“Miracle League” helps all kids be a star on the field
The Miracle League is a place where everyone can be MVP.
The league was started so kids with developmental disabilities and physical limitations could play sports and be part of a team. There are more than 270 organizations across the world, including the Mabee Adaptive Sports Complex at the Langham Creek YMCA.
Parents say this has literally changed the lives of their kids.
Shannon Stilwell said, "Therapies are expensive, schools are expensive, medical bills are expensive, and this is free. They treat them just like any other kid. They make a big deal about it."
Watch the story above to learn how Miracle League celebrates all young athletes, and what it means to these kids to be able to play!
