MIRACLE SAVE !! ✈️ F/A-18C RC Jet lands with one missing leg!!!
35Watch renowned pilot Martin Pickering perform a thrilling emergency landing with Enebie Sepúlveda's huge 1/5.75th scale F/A-18 Hornet RC jet from Skymaster during Osca Jets 2023 international event!
The left strut got stuck and it wouldn't deploy so he had to bring it in one leg short. Thankfully, he used his mastery to make the jet come back unscathed, save for a few unavoidable yet minimal scratches!
This F-18 is painted in a special variation of the classic plain military grey livery of the Spanish Air Force's 'Ala 15' squadron that features a large depiction of the squadron's tiger emblem in the vertical stabs.
The flight was performed at Osca Jets 2023, an international jet meeting, which took place in the facilities of 'Club Aeromodelismo Osca', located in Igriés (Huesca, Spain) the last weekend of september. The field at which the event was hosted has a really outstanding mountain backdrop which made it possible to film truly breathtaking shots of the jets zooming by as if it was a movie scene from Top Gun!
Osca Jets follows a series of events on the legacy of the Barcelona Jets and Cerdanya Jets event, gathering over 80 pilots from all over Europe, and about twice that number of jet aircraft. Just like in all the previous occasions, the organization made an astounding work and the event was a total success!
