Mirrors Edge in VR - Mirrors Edge Virtual Reality Gameplay - VR Vorpx Profile: Will it VR?
Mirrors Edge in VR: Mirrors Edge VR gameplay - Mirrors Edge is a game that doesn't seem to age, it's clean, crisp art style has gracefully remained incredibly impactful even after 12 years and this fact is even more evident when viewing the game in virtual reality!
If you're in desperate need of a parkour vr game or a free running vr game then pushing Mirrors Edge into VR via the fantastic VR Vorpx profile might just be the very best option out there. Mirrors Edge in VR is a wonderful experience, the fluid in game movement mixed with the crisp breathtaking visuals is a perfect match for a full 3D VR experience. Even if jumping over huge gaps and falling off of the skyscrapers is a little daunting at first...
The Mirrors Edge Vorpx profile supports full geometry 3D and also direct VR scan which completely and utterly overhauls the FOV, sense of scale and overall quality of the experience in virtual reality. If you can pick up Mirrors Edge for cheap on PC (at the time of writing Mirrors Edge is less than £2.00 on Steam) then it is definitely worth your time to experience this game in VR with Vorpx.
Please enjoy this Mirrors Edge virtual reality gameplay and please drop me a comment down below if there are any incredible virtual reality parkour games out there that I need to be made aware of because frankly I'd love to play some more parkour VR experiences!
*All Mirrors Edge VR gameplay was captured by me using Vorpx & my Oculus Rift S headset, to achieve these results you do need a copy of Vorpx - https://www.vorpx.com/
TO FIX CRASHING ISSUE ON STEAM:
"For those of you who have the PhysX issue (crash after tutorial), this is due to the way Mirrors Edge handle PhysX:
1) Install PhysX legacy package from NVIDIA:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx-9.12.1031-legacy-driver.html
2) Install PhysX package (best supported Mirror’s Edge package) from NVIDIA:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx-9.14.0702-driver.html
Those are legacy package and will be install in parallel with your usual PhysX drivers and only be trigger by game with the same kind of PhysX handling.
3) Go in ..\steamapps\common\mirrors edge\Binaries\ and remove the following files and folder:
PhysXCore.dll
PhysXDevice.dll
PhysXLocal (folder)
4) Start Mirrors Edge and it will promp to install it's version of Physix, don't allow it to install!!!
Also on the plus side those of you who where have performance issue whit PhysX, those lagacy package are also fixing this."
