Marvel: Avengers Alliance Redux is a revival of Marvel: Avengers Alliance, a Flash-based game developed by Playdom, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. It was a turn-based social network game released on Facebook on March 1, 2012, and on Playdom's Official website on July 10, 2012(?). The mobile version was released on iOS devices on 13 June 2013. This remake is non-profit and protected by the DMCA exemptions approved in 2018 about the restoration of dead game servers.

There has been no announcement about any MAAR mobile version in the works.

On September 1, 2016, Playdom announced that Marvel: Avengers Alliance and Marvel: Avengers Alliance 2 will be shut down in all platforms on September 30, 2016. Marvel: Avengers Alliance on Facebook version was shut down on September 30, 2016, at 11:59 Pacific Time (October 1, 2016, 6:59 UTC).

After the closure of Marvel: Avengers Alliance, there were some projects to bring the game back to life. The first one was Marvel: Avengers Alliance Reborn. That project was stopped due to unknown motives. After that, another project showed up: a user on Reddit named GamingLifeBegginer started a project called Saviors of The Multiverse. He claimed to have in his hands the original source code of the game and showed some footage with dialogues between Iron-Man and Deadpool.

GamingLifeBegginer gathered the support of the community and a team of Writers, Artists, etc. was assembled, but since then he has stopped showing his progress to the community while the rest of the members of the Saviors Of The Multiverse Project were working and due to personal motives involving his family and his work, he stopped his progress. After that, he deleted his Reddit account.

While the community was waiting for GamingLifeBegginer's response, Jason Matz AKA Goofytroll started to develop his own version of the game using the original XMLs of the game that he found and with the support of the rest of the team that was assembled for Saviors of The Multiverse. He rebranded the project as Marvel: Avengers Alliance Redux.

At some point, Flash was discarded and the project adopted Unity for developement.

Currently, Marvel: Avengers Alliance Redux has entered it's Beta phase with version 6.16 now out for public testing. A patch has been released on 11 September 2025, bringing the Beta version up to 6.18.
