Microsoft is shutting down their streaming platform (Mixer), and partnering with Facebook Gaming. On June 22, 2020, Mixer recently announced that they would be ceasing operations completely and sending all of their existing partners over to Facebook Gaming. Why is Mixer shutting down after spending so much money (millions) to acquire streamers from Twitch (Ninja, Shroud, and King Gothalion).
