Miyoo Mini+ Misterious Retroarch Core from Onion Team + KMFDManiac
16Ok lads, happy to reveal you, new special core that is being revealed for the first time on miyoo mini plus! :)
This is my first video with voice comments, but when tried to process it with DaVinci, messed up with it and deleted soundtrack, but found it too late, only after video completed processing on Youtube :/
Sorry for mistakes here and there, but really tried to do my best!:)
Ok, let's talk about this new mysterious core:
Someone expected that it will be drastic for mm+ , but this time it's swanstation - a fork of a popular ps1 emulator duckstation for pc, android and other high performance consoles.
This comes from the collaboration between two retrogaming teams (it disbanded from drama ) : KMFDManic with Onion Team. I'm a huge fan of KMFD because he made the best cores for the mini consoles (NES/SNES mini, MD mini, PSX Mini, Amiga mini...) And I was happy to know that Onion Team contacted him and he has proposed his help to create some optimised cores.
Someone could say, why do we need another PS1 emulator? We already have highly ARM optimised PCSX ReARMed, that can even play PS1 games in Enhanced Resolution mode, but if you research a bit online, you can find that this emulator have some of cool features.
Even if performance of this core is not matching with PCSX ReARMed, it plays tested games not too bad as you can see it on the video, and hope that development on this core will continue and we will see more features and optimisation for it!:)
And at the end need to say thanks to Onion Team for letting me reveal this special core for the public, and kudos to KMFDManic for all of his help creating optimised cores for this console!
