Urban Exploitation was recorded in late 2008 and early 2009, during a time I was really into "urbex" or "Urban Exploration" - or at least looking at photographs of Urban Explorers adventures in abandoned buildings, which is where the highly edited cover comes from.

Recording started shortly after the 8088 Demo/Album (next up), and was where I really began doing a lot of tweaking and experimentation with cheap keyboards, cheap guitars, pedals, amps, and I joined Smokin' 66 and Ancient Tongues (two Seattle area bands) around that time, and was gigging a lot. A lot of the material is just pure escapism mixed with just random sonic musings usually inspired by me noodling on a guitar and having weird stuff happen to me. One of the most used pieces of equipment on this though, was the Digitech Whammy WH4 (for all those thick 5ths everywhere - ie doubled-up and even tripled up power chords). It also features some of the first Acoustic work I'd done in over 10 years to that point on my home recordings.
