No sooner does Edgeworth wrap up his in-flight case is he roped into a kidnapping situation! An associate of his, Ernest Amano, needs help getting his son back and the demand is a cool million bucks. Edgeworth prepares the money and heads to Gatewater Land, a theme park where badgering the witness is encouraged thanks to the Badger Patrol! (it's not) He is directed to the Haunted House to drop off the money, though all he finds is a throbbing pain to his neck and a one-way ticket to Knockout City.

Upon waking he is bound again (twice in one day? Man can't catch a break!) in some warehouse when, hark, look up in the sky! It's a raven! No, it's a plucky comic relief sidekick! It's not Gumshoe but a young girl named Kay Faraday, self-proclaimed Great Thief and pincher of information. Her heisting has led her to free Edgeworth and they work together to get themselves out. (Kay never thought about the 'escape' part...)

Returning to form Edgeworth finds himself coming to blows with another Interpol agent, the swift and hot-tempered Shi-Long Lang, who decides to take command in this case. How well does Edgeworth do when he stares down the Wolf Fang Fist? Do not go at an accelerated pace!
