Some Interesting Discoveries while hacking MK8.

I Currently have the void loaded on my Wii U over Rainbow Road. And Andesite does not, on Andesite's screen, I (along with 5 CPU) are sitting ducks on the starting line, however, when he interacts with us with items/contact, it does not affect me on my screen (Except for items that hit everyone, like shocks)

Now, Since Andesite and 5 other CPU were driving around the track like normal, you would expect them to be "warping" around the screen (Like in MKWii when you have a CT over a regular course online) But in fact, on my screen they just sat there with me on my screen Very strange indeed.

This also proves that online CPU's are split between players, my Wii U was controlling 5 of the CPU's (The 5 that were doing nothing) and Andesites Wii U was controlling the other 5.

This also proves that online position isnt just based on your X,Y and Z coordinates on your screen, like in MKWii
Aswell, blue shells only go for the person who is actually in first, even if your screen says you're in first

Some other side effects were: On the minimap, everyone has the "1st Place Crown", on the position tracker on the gamepad, it only displays 1 person in 1st (Which is not you, even though the TV says you're in 1st) And when people finish the race on Andesites screen, my tv position tracker changes, and the one on the gamepad spazzes out and places people in random slots.
