My Little Pony generation 1.5 was My Little Pony Tales, a series from 1992 that launched the series into slice-of-life territory. It was thanks to Friendship is Magic that the My Little Pony series became well recognized across fanbases; but let's not forget that FIM was just the fourth generation of this series.
Each one of the episodes in the short-lived series had a musical number. The one in episode 12 was "Think Again", and who would have thought so few animated characters ever said that outside this series (and no creature Friendship is Magic)?
