For those who want strong chips. Here are some strategies that might help you.

Note: it just so happens that while I did this (I set up these convenient battles using a hack), this is essentially in a "battle mode" where S-ranking is nearly impossible for a given boss (a "virus battle mode", so to speak). I could have made it so that what appears to be a sensible S-rank actually counts as an S-rank, but apparently I didn't for this video. I think in these cases I would have had to counter twice and win in less than 10 seconds, similar to a virus battle triple delete.

So if you do what you see in this video for the actual boss battles in the game, you would indeed get a valid S-rank.
