Mobile Game Boy Adapter - Today In Retro

Today In Retro is a new series on my channel where I go in-depth about some of the most well-known & obscure retro gaming topics! For today’s video we’re looking into the Mobile Game Boy Adapter (Mobile GB Adapter) from it’s release to demise, as well as it’s advertised features & compatible games. (Spoiler, it was mainly used with Pokemon Crystal.)

The Mobile GB Adapter was a peripheral released for the Game Boy Color & Game Boy Advance on January 27th, 2001. It’s primary use is for players to connect their GBC/GBA to compatible Japanese mobile phones for extra game features/content with compatible games.

I hope you guys enjoy today’s video! This is something I’ve really wanted to do for awhile & where I want to take my content going into 2019. This is my first time doing a more long-form/research-y video like this, so I’m a bit nervous and excited. If you noticed any inaccuracies, please let me know in the comments. Also topic suggestions are welcome in the comments!
