My Giles Mobile Home I purchased new in 2000 has been pretty good overall throughout the years. Plumbing is cpvc which is good but they used these Tuf-Line lil-quikie lines with 7/8 ballcock connectors (like screwed onto your toilet tank) and I had one leak at the washing machine about a year ago and I tightened it and put 2 part epoxy around the top because I was not sure where it was leaking from it. I could not find the new lines anywhere online so that's why I used epoxy. Now this one on the shower caused a real mess because after 20 years seems it decided to loosen up or gasket bad so I used both hands to tighten it and it stopped but I had to replace a lot of underbelly insulation and fear it's just going to do the same thing again. Eventually I plan on getting shut off valves for everything in my home instead of having to use main shut off under floor but I can get to it fairly easy by lifting a piece of underpinning and not have to crawl under. 1/2" line throughout which is fine and I've been reading about pex line and would like to use the red and blue to come off the cpvc and run to ball valves at each place without having to mess with that stupid cement. Any recommendations would be appreciated. I've seen the sharkbite stuff that can just be pushed in but don't think I'd trust that. They have crimp tools for clamps that look pretty good at least on youtube videos. Anyone tried them and tried running it from existing cpvc pipe?
