25Yes, this was pretty much just a way to justify covering Brinstar again. I debated doing something from either Prime 2 or Zero Mission as the last Metroid tune for the year and decided to go with ZM since I replayed it a bunch this past summer after it released on NSO, roughly 20 years after I first got it on GBA. ZM was the first Metroid I personally owned, meant to get Fusion as I had played it and Prime a year or so prior at a friend's house, but I didn't realize there was another Metroid game on GBA, so when I was at the store, I had to guess which one I had played purely based on the cover art behind the counter, the one with the yellow suit or the blue suit. Needless to say I guessed wrong, but I think that was for the best as it meant that I essentially started with Metroid 1 and got to experience the NES one after beating ZM for the first time and really see where it came from originally. ZM was also so good that I didn't even realize that it wasn't the same game I had played before until after finishing it, which only made me more excited since there was another 2D Metroid for me to enjoy in the future and I eventually got Fusion (and my Gamecube) during the holidays later that year, about 20 years ago now.
