Mochtroid127 - Phazon Mines (Metroid Prime)
16Got kind of crazy with this one. It originally started out as just the main section, but I felt like there wasn't enough to that, so I decided to try and recreate the Phazon ambiance, which ended up being mostly just a bunch of harmonics, pick scratches, and just kind of random notes. I had thought about putting that part first since you have to go through a couple of small rooms full of radiation when first entering the area, but when I hear that, I always think of the part where everything is dark and you have to use the X-Ray Visor leading up to the Omega Pirate, which I added the little intro ambiance for that as well. Still, I felt that it needed a something to tie it together and that's when I remembered that Phazon Mines is the one area that has an elevator in the middle that actually uses the tune from the regular elevators, so I added that bit in.
