As promised, it's time for more Remnants of the Precursors. This time in a modded version of the game (courtesy of Modnar, who contributed a lot to my last series). In this video we start with a fresh save, I go over a number of features in the mod and new world creation settings before we dive in. Remnants of the Precursors is a remake/modernization of Master of Orion 1, but you'll be pleased to know that I still make tons of mistakes playing a 20+ year old game. So I go over some of my early game pitfalls in previous test games and hopefully start off on the right foot here. And it's all about taking advantage of NeoHumans' extra ship capacity.

Remnants of the Precursors is a rebuild of the 4x classic Master of Orion, a game that digs deep into the four fundamentals of explore, exploit, expand, and exterminate. The game pits a number of different sci-fi races and cultures against each other both for galactic domination and to find out the truth behind old technology left by the aptly named Orions. Players can choose to peacemonger their way into the helm of the galactic council, or you can design your own ships and obliterate other planets from orbit. The important decisions come early, and the game gives you a lot of options for how to tackle problems. But at the end of the day, not everyone you encounter will be friendly. Is it time to open fire and engage?
