Modding | FS '09 | Player Camera Update - FOV
6In later versions of Farming Simulator, the game engine contained commands to set a camera's FOV (Field of View) using lua code. The earlier versions of Farming Sim appear not to have this in the game engine. It appears the FOV is set in the camera's i3d file, and is executed upon load. As such, to do a work around and provide for in-game changing of FOV, we need to reload the player camera multiple times.
This is a glimpse at the process of modding. Modding is a process of learning and discovery while attempting to make or adjust a mod in Farming Simulator. While it may show how to do something, it is not a tutorial. This is showing part of the journey in fixing or updating something by someone with marginal skills at modding. Not all modding journeys are successful, either. But hopefully this helps encourage you to give it a try!
