[Modding Practice] Proximity Launcher for Hunter's Moon - Very Alpha Version
At my free time I practice some Doom modding.
This is my attempt to bring the Proximity Launcher from Quake III: Team Arena to "Hunter's Moon" mod.
However, that still needs some adjustments, like weapon's proper animation or mine's velocity and blast damage. Also, I'm still not sure about necessity of this gun, since there is already a cool weapon arsenal in "Hunter's Moon".
Anyway, my results are as follows:
- Mines can be attached to floor and ceiling, but explode immediately as soon as they contact the wall
- Mines detonate as soon as enemy steps on them or 20 seconds after being attached.
- Shotgun and Railgun won't cause mines to detonate. However, the rest of non-splash damage weapons will.
- Two mines placed one on another will detonate.
- FInally, the icon for Proximity Launcher at the bottom center of the hud is missing.
P.S.: Level 10 "Skyscraper" from "Dark Tartarus" megawad was my proving ground here.
