MODERN SA2 SOUND MIXING COMPARISON (WiP)
A comparison of sound mixing between last year's v2.1 build and the upcoming v2.5 update! You'll also see the animation, model, sound and physics changes in this comparison too. Oh boy, we've come a long way.
I think I may have figured out how to mix everything together. Taking notes from how Criterion Games mixed audio in the Burnout games, here's how I've done this.
PEAK AMPLITUDE:
Music = -8db
Main character/player sounds = -6
Bass, impacts, whooshes & "noisy" sounds = -3
Voices = -6 or below if needed
SA2 for whatever reason makes everything super loud and easy to peak. I've combated this with the new mixing and it seems to work wonders. Pretty happy with the results. Let me know what you think!
