Hello, Nikolai Jonasson aka SuperNikolai1996 finally back here on YouTube with a new video. To many of you who already know me quite well or have stumbled across at least one of my videos I am not the most productive type of YouTuber. Almost all of my absences occur during tough study periods and the latest 2 months absence is no exception. However, this summer, in comparison to my previous summers, is somewhat more relieved and I have more spare time for making new videos here on YouTube.

Now that we got that out of the way I shall attempt to further describe or explain the drawing video you see before yourself and information about the possible future videos on this channel.

I had attempted to draw the Mona Lisa at least 2 times and the main reason for doing it yet again is due to many reasons. For some of you this might at first glance seem as a "simple" attempt to create a replica of the most recognisable or famous work of art in the whole world, however whilst its true that the Mona Lisa figure is (will be) almost untouched the landscape will be completely different. The idea of experimenting with a particular work of art is no news and countless of artists throughout centuries had done that, but I do not simply wish to follow the old trend, furthermore I want to create something different, something that has not been done before both with this particular painting and a YouTube drawing video. However, the strive for originality is not the only force that helped me make the decision to attempt to draw her, there were in fact many more, e.g., Leonardo da Vinci's quote: "Learn how to see, realise that everything connects to everything else.", Muse's latest album "Drones" and all that's been happening around the world for especially the past 15 years.

The quote played arguably the biggest role in my decision to draw her in this particular way, i.e., in 6 square parts that when finished can be connected to create an enormous drawing, a whole.

Now that I have far more freedom I shall continue with this drawing, work on more tutorials for various movies, TV series and games.
