Compared to how difficult Hard Mode was for me just a few weeks ago, with the regular ships, Skull seems almost comically easy. Skully's early game is mediocre because his first weapon pickup will never be that strong, but he STACKS EVERY WEAPON HE EVER FINDS PERMANENTLY unless you run out of ammo. Any seed with a few bonus weapon pickups in shops or in the hidden realm, or even in The Breach, will easily enable Skully to outscale the game. I end up with a fast projectile, piercing, flametrail, GodShot that also gets 4 Runic runes as well. It could be even stronger with the magic rod from the Sacred Arms but I didn't have the RNG to go there. This was brutal; Skully is a blast.
