I've been excited about this game for a while. I play most hyped indie games that come out, and I just finished up Cyber Shadow, but this game "Steel Assault" has an aesthetic and gameplay loop that just really grabs me. I've waited patiently... and now a demo is finally out. There's not a lot of game in the demo, but you do get to feel the controls and master the engine. Almost no action you take locks you out of any other: for example you can jump then grapple whenever you want and then attack out of your grapple animation if there's an enemy nearby, or use that sequence to extend your airtime to get over some enemy projectiles. The slide is really strong and has i-frames but it also has a cooldown, so you can't spam it. The feeling of playing this game is unrivaled: it oozes polish and perfection in a way that a lot of other indie games fail to grasp. I hope you enjoy watching this.
