Monster Hunter Rise Gameplay Walkthrough Part 41: KUSHALA DAORA
0So here it is: my favorite fight in Rise, besides Mizutsune.... and the second monster whose fight mechanics they improved upon, besides Bazelgeuse!
MHW players HATED Kushala and for good reason too.... he would stay in the air all the time, his tornadoes would reduce the fighting space to a napkin sized area and his wind aura meant that even after he landed, melee users would find it difficult to attack him.... need i say anything about master rank Kushala?
BUT this Kushala is completely different.... besides the sick new theme song and its wholesome face turn intro, capcom did a complete 180 on him and brought in new gameplay mechanics like:
1. he'll be on the ground for a majority of the fight
2. his wind aura though still in the game just provides a boost to his attack abilities, rather than being a cheap way to stall the fight
3. he can summon multiple tornadoes but none of them will linger around the area for more than 10 seconds, unlike how it happened in World
4. its just a better fight overall.... for every weapon user, this time!
....which makes me kinda sad to slay him, as he's easily the most aweesome elder dragon in this game...
