I actually really enjoy Monster Hunter world, with hundreds of hours on both PS4 and PC. I was someone that was incredibly excited for it’s upcoming release when it was announced and it was all I played once it was finally out. I unlocked everything on my PS4 playthrough and it’d be disingenuous to say it was a bad game when it kept me hooked for so long. But is it a good MONSTER HUNTER game. Is it something I look back on after having not played it for quite a while, and think “I should go back to it”? Are the additions to the game something so memorable to me that they create their own subculture of dedicated hunters within the community? Well, not really. I feel that way with Freedom Unite, or 3 Ultimate, or Generations Ultimate, but I rarely get the pull to explore or continue the grind within World.
